Physical Sciences Inc., an employee-owned company, located 25 miles north of Boston in Andover, MA is looking for individuals with strong technical and innovation skills to join our growing Imperia Batteries research and development team at our facility in Methuen, MA. We are seeking candidates that can work in cross-functional teams, can lead and manage programs along with developing and commercializing innovative Li Ion cell and battery technologies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and support R&D programs to develop next generation Li-ion technologies
- Innovate and develop new concepts that can be applied to materials, cells or batteries
- Prepare proposals, program reports and review presentations
- Produce and investigate electrode and electrolyte formulations
- Cell design (pouch and cylindrical)
- Define, establish and execute experimental plans to evaluate cell components and cell or battery design
- Analyze data and clearly communicate results to cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science or; MS in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Material Science with 4 years of experience
- Proven innovation record through patents or journal publications
- Background in experimental design, data collection and analysis
- Excellent English written and oral communication
- Leadership experience in technical programs is preferred
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Pay Range: The expected salary range for this position is $115K–$130K for highly qualified candidates. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
