PSI is developing an advanced multimodal optical imaging instrument for diagnosing olfactory diseases with combined Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM).

  •  OCT: o 2 mm x 2 mm field of view o 8 µm axial and 10 µm lateral imaging resolution o >1.8 mm imaging depth o 50 fps imaging speed
  •  RCM: o 0.75 mm x 0.75 mm field of view o 8 µm lateral imaging resolution o 3.5 µm sectioning resolution o 12 fps imaging speed
  •  Co-registered enface confocal and cross-sectional OCT images
