PSI seeks an experienced, well-qualified candidate for an on-site Accounting Manager role at its corporate office in Andover, MA.  The candidate will oversee our accounting team and ensure full compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AR, AP, and cost accounting functions.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timely financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, and other applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, government auditors, and tax advisors.
  • Prepare and review indirect rate calculations, incurred cost submissions, and DCAA audit support.
  • Supervision and mentoring of accounting staff; provide training and guidance on accounting best practices and regulations as needed.
  • Support in developing and maintaining internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data including evaluation of practices related to estimates, labor reporting, pricing, cost reporting, and allocations, ensuring compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 6+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years of supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with DCAA compliance and Costpoint is preferred.
