Physical Sciences Inc. has openings in our Imperia Batteries® division for individuals with strong technical and communication skills to join our team. Candidates are sought who are effective in working in a team environment to manage, develop and commercialize innovative lithium-ion cell and battery designs/technologies based on advanced materials for DOD and commercial customers. Responsibilities include:
- Support development programs focused on transitioning next generation Li-ion technologies, cell designs, and active materials to production.
- Electrode, electrolyte, cell and battery experimentation.
- Establish experimental plans to evaluate continuous improvement of existing processes.
- Validation and optimization of production equipment and processes and establish associated documentation.
- Perform FMEA and statistical analysis to support production efforts.
- Evaluate processes efficiencies and yields.
- Analyze data and communicate results with cross functional teams.
- Support integration of new components and products into production through execution of scale-up.
- Identify fixturing and equipment modifications required to support continued production expansion.
Candidates should have earned at minimum a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. Individuals with experience in the development, scale-up and production of energy storage solutions. A background in battery system construction and, experimental design, statistical analysis and quality management systems are highly valued and encouraged to apply. Excellent English written and oral communication skills are required.
