The 2023 Oil & Gas Pipeline Leak Detection Congress is pleased to announce our partnership with Enrud Resources Inc, the event’s Leak Detection For Decarbonization Sponsor. Dr Michael Frish of Physical Sciences Inc. (Technology Partner for EnRUD Resources) will be delivering a presentation on CO2LDAR – Laser Technology for Detecting CO2 Pipeline and ROW Leaks.

This year’s conference will include a strong emphasis on the role of decarbonization and emissions monitoring, with Zachary Keith, P.E., ESG Director at Williams and John Gale, Director of Safety and Rulemaking Division, PHMSA each addressing key areas in their keynote presentations.

As Carbon Capture and Sequestration (CCS) grows, so will the CO2 pipeline infrastructure that transports CO2 from capture facilities to sequestration reservoirs. As with natural gas pipelines, safe and reliable CO2 infrastructure requires tools and protocols for pipeline integrity monitoring that identify, locate, and quantify any CO2leakage.

EnRUD Resources will present their laser-based tool for CO2 pipeline leak survey. From a distance of several meters, it projects a laser beam through a CO2 leak plume to detects leaks smaller than 1g/hr.

Michael joins Leak Detection and Asset Integrity specialists from pipeline operators including Black Bear Transmission, BP, Buckeye Partners, Centurian Pipeline, Colonial Pipeline, Crestwood Midstream, EPIC Midstream, Ironwood Midstream, Kinder Morgan, Pan American Energy, Plains All American, Shell Midstream, Trans-Northern Pipeline, Tundra Oil & Gas, Western Midstream, Williams, XTO Energy and more at this event. This is a great opportunity to discuss experiences and challenges in oil & gas leak detection, as well as benchmark against expert speakers.

Widely regarded as the best place to share insights with other pipeline operators and network with industry innovators, the conference is packed with case studies covering strategies and technologies for leak detection and emissions monitoring for all types of pipelines, including gas, multi-phase, short, long, and those in high-consequence areas presented by Leak Detection and Pipeline Flow Assurance specialists.
