Composite Materials Scientist/Engineer

The Advanced Composites operations of Physical Science Inc, located north of Boston in Wilmington, MA, is looking for a person to develop, manage, and mature programs in advanced ceramic matrix composite material systems. A successful candidate must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers, have high written and spoken English language proficiency, and excellent analytical skills.

A demonstrated knowledge of material characterization and a working knowledge of material processing routes for composite fabrication is required. Experience in ceramic and/or polymer matrix composites as well as braiding or other textile formation processes is highly desirable

Candidates with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in the development of materials used in advanced, operational products such as propulsion components or high speed vehicle structures will be strongly considered. Prior experience in the management of advanced development programs for aerospace or commercial applications is also strongly valued.

A PhD or MS in Materials Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 10+ years of work experience is desirable.

US Citizenship is required. An active Security Clearance is desirable.
