Physical Sciences Inc. seeks engineers with strong backgrounds in experimental combustion research and/or combustion-related technology development. The candidate will support research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) of innovative critical technologies in the field of rocket propulsion, with projects involving:
• liquid rocket engines
• solid rocket motors
• high-pressure plumbing systems
• solid propellant processing
• liquid feed system components
• propulsion control systems
The Propulsion Test Engineer position requires strong hands-on skills. Prior experience with assembly of pressure vessels, high-pressure plumbing systems, valves, thermal conditioning systems, or load measurement systems is needed. Candidates should be comfortable with designing, building, and operating test automation systems involving data acquisition and control equipment. Experience with LabVIEW, Python, Matlab, and/or Octave is desired. Work will be performed primarily at PSI’s propulsion and energetics testing complex in Epping, NH, and occasionally at PSI’s headquarters in Andover, MA.
A Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is required.
