Physical Sciences Inc. (PSI), located just north of Boston, MA seeks rising Juniors and Seniors with some lab or electronics experience for a Summer ‘24 Internship supporting our project Ground Penetrating Radar for Automated Concrete Characterization.

PSI is developing a technology which uses a deployable multi-static radar antenna and machine learning techniques to make a single 3D scan of a concrete slab and use that data to algorithmically locate, classify, and display actionable information.

The responsibilities of the intern supporting this project include:

  • Assist PSI scientists in the design, assembly and test of components for a wall scanning radar system
  • Design and assembly of a deployable structure for a wall scanning radar
  • Development of a machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms for processing ground penetrating radar signals

During this internship, the candidate will work with experts in the field to gain experience in ground penetrating radar design, radar signal processing using machine learning, deployable antenna array design and prototyping

This internship may be most beneficial for students pursuing degrees in Mechanical or Electrical and/or Computer Science Engineering

US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency is required.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
