Job Description

Physical Sciences Inc., an employee-owned company located just north of Boston in Andover, is looking for a Computational Physicist and/or Data Scientist to contribute to a number of programs in data analysis and data fusion. We develop systems and algorithms that solve challenging real-world problems in computer vision, graph analytics, generative artificial intelligence, and sensor fusion and modeling. Systems that we develop are continuously deployed with relevant local and federal agencies, directly contributing to our nation’s security.

The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in analyzing and interpreting complex datasets, coupled with expertise in developing algorithms and analysis tools that yield definitive results and conclusions. Strong research and written communication skills are required, as the candidate should have the desire to write proposals. Familiarity with machine learning techniques and model development, obtained through formal or self-directed education, is highly desirable. Specific areas of research interest currently include vision-language models, few-shot learning, and self-supervised learning. However, the candidate is expected to proactively develop their own research interests and draft proposals in novel research domains.

PhD or Masters with equivalent experience is required.
