Physical Sciences Inc. (PSI), located just north of Boston, MA seeks a rising senior with experience in chemical engineering for an internship supporting our project to develop novel chemical reactor systems. We are looking for well-qualified students interested in a summer 2025 full-time internship with our Propulsion and Energetics group.
The responsibilities of the intern supporting this project include:
- Assemble and test reactor hardware/plumbing
- Work with LabVIEW to execute test plans
- Reduce and analyze data arising from experimental tests
- Present results to team members, isolate key findings, determine next steps
Preferred Skills:
- Chemical process model proficiency (e.g. Aspen Plus)
- Aptitude with basic practical laboratory skills (e.g. chemical characterization, reactor set-up, safety protocols and PPE)
- Some prior hands-on experience (research, previous internships, related extra-curricular activities, etc.)
- General hands-on engineering knowledge/experience
During this internship, the candidate will work with experts in the field to gain experience in running chemical reactors, analyzing data and formulating next steps.
This internship may be most beneficial for students pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering.
