Biological and Medical Imaging

PSI is actively engaged in several externally-funded research programs in the field of biomedical imaging. These projects aim to advance innovative technologies for use in the detection and treatment of diseases or injuries. PSI is funded by the NIH to explore the use of high resolution diagnostic and image-guided therapeutic modalities. PSI is funded by the DoD to investigate and develop new technologies to treat and manage combat casualties and care for veterans. Our aim is to rapidly move our novel technologies from a research to a clinical environment for curing diseases and improving the quality of healthcare. PSI engineers are also developing advanced imaging systems for high throughput drug screening in small animal models.
