Philip B. Keating, Michael F. Hinds, Steven J. Davis, "A Singlet Oxygen Sensor for Photodynamic Cancer Therapy," presented at (San Diego, CA) , Proceedings of the International Congress on Application of Lasers and Laser-Optics ( ) , 253-260 (November1999).
AbstractWe report the progress on an optical monitor of singlet oxygen for use in photodynamic therapy (PDT), a promising treatment for cancerous tumors. A time-gating technique is used to directly monitor the emission of singlet oxygen at 1270 nm. Preliminary measurements of the lifetime of singlet oxygen in chloroform and acetone solutions are presented. sr-0999
