Flow Visualization for Multi-Phase Food Processing

PSI utilized advanced flow visualization techniques for a major manufacturer of food processing equipment. This meant a major advance in understanding the critical aspects of complex, multi-phase fluid food processing. These experiments have lead to a new basis for describing these processes and prediction capabilities for new product and process design. We also developed an improved product design, significantly improving efficiency and the potential of extended patent protection. By coupling our client's valuable in-house engineering and food science expertise with our capabilities, we have vastly enhanced their R&D potential without compromising their proprietary position in the market place.
