Minimally Invasive Medical Diagnostics

During the past decade there has been significant academic and clinical interest in developing and applying new, non-invasive optically based imaging techniques for disease diagnosis and assessing the effectiveness of treatment modalities. Physical Sciences Inc. has been active in this research, developing new non-invasive or minimally-invasive instrumentation to diagnose cancer or patient trauma such as skin burns. Working with our partners PSI has developed new instrumentation using reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM), optical coherence tomography (OCT), Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence imaging, and diffuse spectroscopy.
