PSI Helps Extend the Lifetime of Spacecraft Materials

(March 2009): Physical Sciences Inc. (PSI)of Andover, Massachusetts, in collaboration with Roy Gordon, the Thomas Dudley Cabot Professor of Chemistry in Harvard University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, has been awarded a research contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory in Arlington, VA, to develop atomic oxygen (AO) and UV/VUV-resistant, static dissipative coatings for spacecraft in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).
