The Applied Optics Enterprise encompasses a broad range of technologies with optics as a general theme. Technical areas include, novel laser and light source development, medical diagnostics, sensitive diagnostics for gas phase and particulate species, and space instrumentation. Our activities cover the full range from fundamental research to deliverable instruments. We also are developing a novel line of science kits for K-12 education.
