The Small Business Innovation Research program has played a pivotal role in PSI’s technical and commercial success. It's been responsible for a family of intelligent instrumentation products based on proprietary electro-optical and electromechanical technologies. Equally extraordinary are the experimental prototype development and manufacturing facilities we’ve built.

Part of our success must be attributed to our effective methodology for technology transfer and commercialization. Starting with funded R&D projects, the company supports the development of prototype products and services through the pre-commercial stage. When working with major corporate partners, PSI then establishes focused commercial businesses, joint ventures or licensing arrangements to promote rapid penetration of growth markets.
