Physical Sciences Inc., located just north of Boston in Andover, is looking for a computational scientist with a strong background in physics or engineering to contribute to a number of programs with emphasis on data analysis and fusion. PSI develops integrated systems and related algorithms that solve challenging real-world problems in computer vision and graph analytics as well as sensor fusion and modeling. The systems that we develop are continuously deployed across a broad range of applications and domains.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in analyzing and interpreting complex datasets involving physical systems and experience developing algorithms and/or analysis tools to extract clear results and conclusions about their behavior and characteristics. Experience with machine learning techniques and model development, either formal or self-taught, is desired. Current research areas of specific interest include aided target recognition, few-shot learning, and self-supervised learning. The successful applicant will work in an integrated group of scientists and engineers on a broad range of programs. There is an opportunity for a motivated candidate to develop and lead their own research area.

Individuals are sought with a PhD or Masters’ degree, or a BS degree with applications experience. Relevant degrees include Applied Math, Physics, or Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
