Physical Sciences Inc., a 275 person employee-owned company headquartered in Andover, MA, seeks a dedicated recruiter to join our HR team in identifying hiring needs and filling job openings. The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of internal customers and possess strong interpersonal skills.

The candidate will have experience utilizing the best current practices in recruiting for technical professionals across a broad range of experience and educational levels, to include the use of social media, professional media, and recruiting platforms such as Facebook, Handshake, Indeed and LinkedIn. The recruiter will work extensively with the company’s senior technical professionals to define recruiting needs and strategies, conduct candidate outreach, coordinate the resume screening and interview processes, and provide assessments of the company’s competitive recruiting position relative to comparable employers.

Strong detail-oriented organization skills, as well as familiarity with employment laws is required. Prior educational or experience-derived familiarity with a technical field would be helpful in both internally and externally representing the company’s talent needs and interacting with potential candidates.

• Working with senior management, identify hiring needs, both short and long term.
• Collaborate with department managers to compile job descriptions including responsibilities of the position and skills and education requirements.
• Create job descriptions and post jobs on a variety of recruiting platforms, social media, and professional media.
• Identifying and contacting suitable candidates to arrange screenings and job interviews.
• Research, coordinate, and implement normal and outside of the box methods of recruitment in order to hire talented candidates.
• Continually stay in touch with candidates and prioritize and expedite the interview and selection process.
• Conduct interviews and refer qualified candidates and summary of skills and qualifications to appropriate hiring manager.
• Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at outside events including, but not limited to, job fairs and college recruitment.
• Continually promote the company's reputation and attributes as an excellent employer.
• Coordinate and manage internship programs.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on all laws pertaining to recruitment and hiring. Share knowledge as appropriate with others in the company.
• Create and distribute recruitment and hiring reports to managers throughout the company.

• A Bachelor's degree in a business or related field or prior experience in recruiting technical professionals.
• At least 3 years experience in recruiting, preferably in a technical industry.
• Solid and proven experience conducting interviews at all levels of an organization.
• Professional demeanor including the ability to represent the company well and interact positively with a variety of people outside the company.
• Experience with recruitment processes and Applicant Tracking Systems.
• The ability to develop and implement recruiting strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good decision-making skills.
• A working knowledge of employment law related to recruitment and employment.
