Physical Sciences Inc., located just north of Boston in Andover, seeks an analyst/scientist to join our diverse and dynamic team that develops products related to environmental gas sensing. The candidate would support continuing improvement of existing systems and development of new systems and products, with the following key responsibilities:

• Implementation of data processing, analyses, and visualization routines to support existing programs and new sensor development
• Field work involving testing and demonstration of optical systems and products
• Work with a team of scientists, engineers, and program managers to develop products and engineering solutions that meet customer-driven product specifications
• Participation in program reporting, professional presentations, and proposal writing

Physical Sciences Inc is a 48+ year old, Employee-owned company that has a proven track record for developing and commercializing optical systems (RMLD, QGI) that address specialized customer needs. The ideal candidate will meet the following critical requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with experience in environmental sciences with emphasis in data analytics
• Experience with:
- field use of environmental sensors
- data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Matlab, Python, R, or equivalent)
- machine learning
- digital mapping
• Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
• Some experience in understanding environmental regulations, policies and laws that are applicable to the relevant data sets
