Physical Sciences Inc., located north of Boston in Andover, is looking for engineers to conduct research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) of innovative technologies for advanced propulsion and energetics systems. Emphasis is on data acquisition, control, instrumentation, programming, and electrical systems.

PSI’s Propulsion and Energetics (P&E) area is seeking an individual with a strong background in data acquisition, instrumentation, and/or control for chemical and thermodynamic applications. This individual will join a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists and play a key role in growing a diverse portfolio of technologies funded by the DoD and NASA. This job opening is in the field of propulsion, with projects involving liquid rocket engines, solid rocket motors, high-pressure plumbing systems, liquid propellant processing, solid propellant processing, liquid feed system components, and propulsion control systems. Work will be performed at PSI’s headquarters in Andover, MA, as well as at PSI’s Propulsion and Energetics testing complex in Epping, NH.

Candidates should be comfortable with the design, hands-on construction, and operation of test automation systems involving data acquisition and control equipment. Experience with either LabVIEW, Python, Matlab, and/or C/C++ is needed. This candidate should possess strong technical skills in two or more of the following: signal conditioning, electronics, programming, and data analysis. Excellent technical writing skills are needed.

Master’s or PhD degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required
