InstantEye Robotics, a division of Physical Sciences Inc. located 25 miles north of Boston in Andover, develops and manufactures tactical unmanned aerial systems that are the technology of choice by military, law enforcement, and first responders around the world. It has earned the respect of its customers by delivering high-quality products that are affordable, reliable, and meet current and future mission needs. It is seeking to expand an R&D and production capability that has already delivered over 1,600 unmanned aerial systems across three product lines.

The InstantEye Robotics team has a need for an Electrical Engineer who will: work closely with both EE development engineers as well as manufacturing engineers to transition prototype designs to manufacturable products, identify and document production issues to reduce the impact of common failures, provide manufacturing support for production systems from board level support to full system testing; optimize products for low cost and high throughput manufacturability, and work closely with software, aerospace and mechanical engineers in coordinating designs of embedded systems with an emphasis on manufacturability.

The desired experience for the position includes: experience with ECAD software, use of Altium designer, microcontroller and SBC programming, communication protocols (Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, and UART), robotics hardware and software design, RC aircraft; operating in a fast-paced development environment on a small team.

Key qualifications include: a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a strong background in: Small electronics manufacturing, PC board level troubleshooting and diagnostics, product development from start to finish, and electrical engineering and fine pitch soldering rework.
