Physical Sciences Inc., located just north of Boston in Andover, MA is seeking an experienced scientist/engineer to conduct research, development, testing and evaluation (RTD&E) of innovative technologies for advanced propulsion and munitions systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in propulsive technology for solid rocket motors, liquid rocket engines, or air-breathing propulsion systems. Candidates with demonstrated knowledge of energetic liquid and/or solid materials for applications in propellant formulations and/or processing scale-up are highly desired.

The individual will be expected to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers and will be responsible for maturing a diverse portfolio of existing technologies while actively developing new technology solutions to opportunities within the Department of Defense and NASA. The candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills, proficiency in writing technical reports and/or proposals, and should be comfortable delivering presentations to members within government agencies.

Candidates should have either a MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry along with 2-10 years of experience in RDT&E in related disciplines.

US citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
