Polymers are long molecular chain chemicals also known as plastics. Several groups at PSI are working on advanced polymer materials. These materials include high performance, non-linear optical, electroactive, biologically inspired, space durable and light emitting polymers. These plastics are synthesized, formulated, characterized, processed and made into devices, garments and structures at PSI. There is a full spectrum of polymer engineering capabilities at PSI.
