| Review the capabilities and expertise of RSI's two locations: Lanham Princeton |
Materials science, plasma physics, and electric propulsion.
Overview
The Princeton Operations, led by John Kline, develop diagnostic equipment and specialize in materials science, plasma physics, and electric propulsion.
Experience
Development of high speed, fiber-optic pressure probes and specialized control systems, as well as plasma aerodynamics research.
Clients include the Air Force, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, the Naval Research Laboratory, Princeton University, and others.
Currently developing a high pressure electron beam array, a micro-machined mass spectrometer, and a microwave plasma control system for hypersonic vehicles.
Facility
The Princeton Operations encompass a variety of collaborators, including the Aerospace Corporation, Princeton University, and the Ohio State University. The facility is 700 square feet of laboratory space with plasma diagnostics, optics, and vacuum systems.
Other
Researchers at the Princeton Operations hold guest staff positions at Princeton University's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. As a result, the universityÕs facilities are used for various projects, like their Photonics and Optoelectronic Materials (POEM) Micro-Fabrication Laboratories, which provides valuable nanotechnology fabrication capabilities.
